Russian software exports increased by almost 54% in 2006 and totaled USD 1.5 billion in 2006 (RUSSOFT) [25.06.07]

According to RUSSOFT, the Russian software exports increased by almost 54% in 2006 and totaled USD 1.5 billion in 2006.  The market for Russian offshore ITO services has been growing rapidly by 30-40% for the past five years.  As an offshoring location, today Russia comes third right after India and China. 

Based on RUSSOFT data, over a half of the market volume was generated by Moscow and St. Petersburg companies. About 30% of providers are headquartered in Moscow, and 25% are located in St. Petersburg. Other large offshoring centers include Novosibirsk, Nizhniy Novgorod and Yekaterinburg.
